Sista is a pre-owned chair designed by Ionna Vautrin and crafted by the French furniture maker Bosc. As the little sister of the Notre-Dame de Paris chair, Sista retains the same humble yet noble spirit, while reinterpreting its lines and proportions with elegance. Beneath its apparent simplicity, this chair reveals a high level of sophistication: its curved seat and double-arched backrest provide optimal comfort by perfectly supporting the shape of the back. Handmade in the Landes region in Bosc’s workshops, Sista stands out for its exquisite woodworking, traditional joinery techniques, and the quality standards of French cabinetmaking. It is a discreet yet refined piece that celebrates authenticity and local craftsmanship.

Ionna VAUTRIN
Born in France in 1979, Ionna Vautrin studied design in Nantes, graduating in 2002. Since then, Ionna Vautrin has worked with some of the biggest names on the French and international design scene, including the Bouroullec brothers. The success of her creations was immediate, enabling her to work for some of the best-known brands, including Foscarini, for whom she creates lighting fixtures, as well as the French publisher Moustache, for whom she creates pure, elegant design accessories for the home. Among her creations are the Ô collection of vases and baskets and the Baobab table, full of charm and poetry for the bedroom. In 2011, Ionna Vautrin opened her own studio after winning the Grand Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris.

BOSC
Bosc is a French brand of contemporary furniture. In 1964, Marcelle and Joseph Bastiat set up their chair manufacturing business. Over the years, Bastiat became a renowned manufacturer of classic chairs. In 2000, the family business was taken over by their son. In 2024, he created Bosc, a contemporary furniture brand.
