And Tradition,
Rely is a chair with ecological origins. For his design, Hee Welling spent a year researching the perfect material. The simple appearance of the chair and its ergonomic design embody the fusion of minimalism and practicality. The modern hull of
Rely is made entirely from recycled plastic. The latter is available in a range of contemporary colours. The inventive recycling process set up by the designer recovers post-industrial waste. Once it is crushed into small pieces, the colour is mixed in and then the material is prepared for injection moulding. Clearly, sustainable development is a priority. If the chair is to be repaired, the designer has made it easy to dismantle in order to prolong its life. Each of the curves has been developed to provide optimal back support. Welling emphasises the importance of details for a balanced and harmonious result. In the
HW27 version, the base is fitted with a hook system to link the chairs together.
