The N.0 chair, designed by Front, introduces a new idea of elegance through the expressive power of Gebrüder Thonet Vienna’s signature elements: bentwood and Viennese cane. The Swedish duo reinterprets these two iconic features in a contemporary way, enhancing their aesthetic impact by using the circle as a geometric motif for the backrest, seat, and armrest. A chair suspended in time — feminine and eclectic — it effortlessly plays with forms and proportions, featuring a steam-bent beechwood frame, a backrest in either Viennese cane or technical fabric, and a graceful single armrest on one side.

Gebrüder Thonet Vienna originates from a family of successful furniture makers during the industrial era. Michael Thonet, the founder, worked with wood and transitioned from laminated wood techniques to the use of steam-bent, round-sectioned wood. Formal elegance, durability, and lightness determined the success of Gebrüder Thonet Vienna, which, in just a few years, opened production sites worldwide. A unique production process rooted in a rich history of influences.
