Starck pays tribute to three contemporary design icons and brings a fusion of styles to life to achieve a "stylistic synthesis": the Masters chair. Reinterpreted in "space age" style, Arne Jacobsen's Series 7, Eero Saarinen's Tulip Armchair, and Charles Eames' Eiffel Chair intertwine with hybrid, attractive, and contorted results. Supported by four thin stems, the seat on the small Masters armchair is comfortable and generously-sized. The peculiarity of this chair lies in its backrest, characterised by the solids and voids created by the curvilinear intersection of the three different backrests that merge into the seat. Available in several colours, the Masters chair can be used both indoors and outdoors.
Founded in 1949 by Giulio Castelli, the Italian brand Kartell quickly established itself as an essential reference in the world of design. Among its icons is the famous storage unit Componibili Kartell, created by Anna Castelli Ferrieri in 1969.
