The Lou pouf by Gallotti&Radice, designed in 2015 by Studio G&R, the company’s in-house design studio, is a piece that exudes a confident softness and understated elegance. Its short, affectionate name says it all: a generous shape, a warm presence—an object you’ll want to draw close to. Available in two sizes—round (S) or oval (L)—and in two heights depending on whether it’s the standard or lounge version, the Lou adapts to a multitude of uses and configurations. Its internal wooden frame is covered with high-density polyurethane foam and polyester fibers, ensuring supple and long-lasting seating comfort. The metal parts—legs and details—are available in satin brass or matte black lacquer, a understated and refined finish that anchors the ottoman within the aesthetic universe of Gallotti&Radice. The upholstery, which is not removable, is available in fabric or leather in all the colors and styles featured in the brand’s catalog. Whether on its own or combined with other pieces from the collection, the Lou naturally finds its place in a contemporary living room, a lounge area, or a hotel suite. Its silhouette, which is both compact and enveloping, makes it an ideal complement to a sofa, an armchair, or simply a sculptural piece placed in the space.
Two minds, one aspiration, one desire. The desire to create, transform and interpret. A common passion: glass. The result: the creation of a laboratory of ideas. That was back in 1955. Pierangelo Gallotti and Luigi Radice founded an artistic space dedicated to glass decoration. Tradition and innovation blended together to create small-scale, precious production. Light fixtures, furniture, and mirrors were the first products to be made. All parts were unique and made exclusively by hand. Founders Luigi Radice and Piarangelo Gallotti shared the company's origins and artisanal philosophy: Growing, innovating, researching.
