Designed by the Tacchini Design Studio, the 1809 lamp starts from a simple and deep conviction: light should not only illuminate, it must inhabit the space. By reinterpreting the pure geometries of the 1970s through a resolutely contemporary sensitivity, Tacchini signs here a luminous object where the form is deliberately erased to let the light become the true subject, a soft volume, enveloping, which redraws the atmosphere of a room without ever imposing itself. The white color accentuates this logic of assumed discretion: the 1809 enters an interior with a natural obviousness, silent, as if it had always been there, diffusing a subdued light that invites to slowing down and intimacy. It finds its place as well on a pedestal or a console in a refined residential living room as on a desk or bedside table in an upscale hotel context, combining with equal elegance with noble marble materials, wood, leather or velvet without ever competing with them. It is precisely this ability to dialogue with one’s environment, to sublimate without dominating, that makes 1809 a piece of character in the most accurate sense: an object whose effect you first notice before noticing its shape, and whose presence, once installed, becomes hard to imagine absent.
Tacchini is an Italian designer furniture brand created in 1967 by Antonio Tacchini, at a time when Italian design was disrupting global design. It went on to become the leading institution in terms of quality and creativity. The strength of its concept is found at every step of Tacchini Italia's creative process. The brand goes so far as to explain this in their own words: "from the abstraction of thought to the three-dimensional nature of the object, to embody the essence of the home." A family business passed down the generations, Tacchini Italia is constantly progressing; it ensures ties with contemporary style, enhanced by the choice of high-quality materials and ever-improving technologies.
