Kipferl is the new chair and lounge chair designed by Antenna, a studio founded in 1997 in New York by Masamichi Udagawa and Sigi Moeslinger. Originally conceived for the renowned restaurant of the Wiener Konzerthaus, this seat becomes part of the brand’s collection and catalogue starting with the Salone del Mobile.Milano 2025. Its name pays tribute to Viennese tradition, referencing the famous Austrian crescent-shaped pastry, whose lines inspired the chair’s soft and welcoming silhouette.
The padded backrest, recognizable by its crescent shape, gently embraces the body, positioned at the lumbar level to offer natural and relaxed support. Its elongated wings, functioning as armrests, extend gracefully from the rear structure in bentwood — a hallmark of Viennese craftsmanship.
