The
J77 chair, designed by Poul M. Vother, is part of the collection reissued by
Hay of Danish furniture classics originally designed for the Danish consumer cooperative society FDB: icons designed by great Danish
designers in the 50s and 60s . The initial idea that emerged in the 1940s was to create functional and democratic furniture, accessible to all. By using industrial production processes, and therefore reducing costs, FDB improved the availability of designer furniture for the general population, offering high quality design at relatively low prices. The
J77 Hay chair, designed by Folke Palsson, is made from beech and available in a natural or painted finish.
J77 is a
chair perfectly representing vintage Scandinavian design with its pure, sober and retro lines. The designer has taken the backrest formed from fine wooden strips, so characteristic of the Windsor chair, which was very popular in the 18th century, and created an airy, graphic structure with a very comfortable seat.
The J77 chair Hay will fit into any space in your home and bring a trendy vintage touch around your table.
