Mirror IOI Ø 80 Mirror GUBI

The IOI collection, designed by the duo GamFratesi for Gubi, is a celebration of Italian materiality, with the use of brass and Emperador and Carrara marble. Based on Art Deco geometric references with the contemporary language of design, the mirror and tables in the IOI collection share a structure composed of fine metal stems connected by a brass sphere, reflecting the shape of the letters found in the name "IOI". The brass spheres are both functional, connecting the two metal stems and reinforcing the construction, and a design signature, emphasising the collections' lightness and materiality. The IOI wall mirror is perfect above a console in an interior, but can also be a sculptural statement in the entrance to a communal space. Like many of the GamFratesi duo's creations, the IOI collection combines opposing ideas: the classic and the contemporary, the sober and the expressive, the manufactured and the unique. These juxtapositions, as well as the constant desire to challenge the status quo while respecting what has tradition, are embodied in the coffee tables and wall mirror IOI.
