Edited by And Tradition, Inland is a sofa with clean lines and subtle curves, delicately blending Italian elegance with Scandinavian minimalism. Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll set out to design a sofa that provides ultimate comfort within a defined architectural frame. With this vision in mind, they created Inland, a low and deep sofa with high armrests and a warm black base that gives the impression the sofa is floating. While the forms of this sofa pay tribute to Norwegian classics from the 1950s, the designer duo introduced an unexpected element: the generous seats of Inland feature a soft cushion interior, creating a luxuriously comfortable piece. The result is a welcoming sofa that encourages rest and relaxation, without compromising on style. Available in a 2 or 3-seater version, the Inland sofa comes in a wide range of high-quality upholstery options.
Founded in 2009 by Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll, Anderssen & Voll is a Norwegian design studio based in Oslo. The duo, who were previously partners in the Norway Says group, work in a variety of design fields but concentrate on domestic objects. They have been named Norwegian and Scandinavian Designer of the Year and have received international awards for their work with furniture, lighting and home accessories. In their view, a good product builds on and extends tradition while simultaneously breaking with the rules of that tradition. Their iconic creations include the Outline seating series, the Oslo lounge chair, the Elephant table and the unique Ildhane candlestick. Their many collaborations with famous publishers such as Lapalma, Muuto, Hay and AndTraditon have contributed to their reputation.
