Designed by the famous designers Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, Pier System is a multifunctional storage system, developed to adapt to modern living conditions. Delivered flat-packed and easy to assemble, reconfigure and recycle, Pier System's simple, flexible construction makes it ideal for storing and organising many different types of object. Made from aluminium and steel using the minimum of components needed for a complete storage system, Pier System is available in different colours and numerous configurations, which can be combined together. The elements of the configurations can be moved according to need or desire, to integrate the functions you want. Published by Hay, the Pier storage system finds its place in every room of the house, be it the living room, bedroom, hallway or study. It is also suitable for contract spaces. Configuration 103 has three columns of six shelves each.

Ronan & Erwan BOUROULLEC

Born in 1971 and 1976 in Quimper, France, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec pursued their studies at the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the École nationale supérieure d’arts in Cergy-Pontoise, respectively. In 1999, the brothers teamed up to establish a design studio in Paris. Their work spans the creation of home accessories and objects (vases, tableware, jewelry…), furniture for the home and office, as well as architectural projects that involve spatial planning and design. The chairs and armchairs by Erwan Bouroullec stand out for their organic and poetic design, combining comfort, modularity, and contemporary elegance. Among their standout creations, the "l'Algue" for Vitra, is a modular design that, when assembled, forms an asymmetrical and poetic room divider. Alongside designers like Jasper Morrison and Hella Jongerius, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec play a key role in the growing Vitra Home Collection. In recent years, they have also collaborated with brands like Alessi, Kartell and Nanimarquina designing pieces such as the Losanges rugs. Ronan et Erwan Bouroullec have earned numerous accolades, including Designer of the Year at Maison et Objet Now! in 2011, the Grand Prix du Design from the City of Paris in 1998, the New Designer Award at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York in 1999, and the Finn-Juhl Prize in Copenhagen in 2008. Their works are housed in prestigious museums, including the MoMA and the Centre Pompidou. Through their collaborations with brands like Vitra, Hay annd Flos, Ronan et Erwan Bouroullec have become icons of 21st-century design.

Hay, the iconic brand of Danish design, founded in 2002, is now a key reference in contemporary Scandinavian furniture. By collaborating with renowned designers such as Hee Welling and the brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Hay Design offers iconic creations such as the About a Chair collection and the outdoor range Palissade, which perfectly embody the spirit of Scandinavian design furniture.
