The Type chair, designed by Danish designer Jonas Trampedach and published by Hay, takes its name and aesthetic from the idea of an archetypal chair. Its distinctive backrest design gives it a uniform sculptural expression that reinforces its familiarity while retaining its own unique personality. Made from aluminium with a silicone coating, the Chaise Type from Hay combines craftsmanship and industrial processes to create a smooth, seamless surface.
