En 1966, Richard Schultz dessine une collection conçue pour l'extérieur à la demande de Florence Knoll qui, après avoir pris sa retraite, voulait du mobilier qui pourrait résister au climat de la Floride. Depuis, cette série est considérée comme la première collection de mobilier pour extérieur moderne et représente un standard du genre. La série 1966 est composée notamment de chaises et fauteuils larges et très confortables en aluminium et résille enduite. Ces sièges présentent des lignes simples et intemporelles qui permettent de les intégrer facilement dans vos jardins et sur les balcons.
