Description

Following the success of the Royal System bookcase, in1959 designer Poul Cadovius designed the Pia dining chair, currently reissued by DK3. Pia is a chair designed with the zeitgeist in mind, inspired by other design chairs from the 1950s, but lighter and 'smaller', both in terms of physical weight and design expression. The Pia chair has been developed according to the "less is more" concept, with the emphasis on very low material consumption, while maintaining a high level of precision and comfort. The slim, tapered solid wood legs give the Chaise Pia DK3 a light visual expression. The seat is made from hand-woven paper cord and the back is moulded for optimum seating comfort.
