Description
The result of an eight-year journey, Daniel Rybakken's Petit Standard chair for Hay is a study in precision and thoughtful detail. With the aim of creating a highly stackable chair, where the stackable features would actually enhance the design of the chair, Petit Standard fuses elegance and functionality into an iconic design. Using cast aluminium and steel tubes that connect in a three-dimensional triangle, the lightweight frame has a distinctly geometric shape, which is balanced by the warmth and natural quality of the oak veneer seat and back. The high back and curved seat of Petit Standard provide great comfort, while the rigid tubes optimise the chair's strength and stacking capacity, making it ideal for corporate, educational and private environments.
