The Vipp electric kettle is an essential kitchen appliance. A double surface provides optimum insulation, making the surface heat-resistant and keeping the water hotter for longer. The powder-coated exterior and non-slip rubber elements on the swivel base and handle make the Vipp electric kettle easy to use in wet cooking environments.
The story of Vipp began in 1939, in the small Danish town of Randers, when Marie asked her husband Holger Nielsen to create a trash bin for her new hair salon. Holger, a skilled craftsman with a keen sense of aesthetics, wanted to impress his wife and thus put all his talent into creating a pedal bin that was both functional and elegant. The bin, which he named Vipp, was never intended to be sold. However, some of Marie's clients were so impressed by its functionality that they ordered it for their husbands' medical offices and dental clinics.
