Description
The Cabin chair by Vipp is ideal for the dining room or living room. This chair stands out with its rounded solid oak components and floating veneer seat, featuring an affixed cushion available in black or sand leather. The leather has unique visual characteristics. Originating from a legacy of 85 years in steel manufacturing, the Cabin chair is Vipp’s very first solid wood furniture piece. Great attention to detail is given in the subtle construction of the chair, as evidenced by the invisible joints that make it appear as though the chair is cut from one piece. The Cabin chair refers to one of Vipp's upcoming architectural projects, a prefabricated house wrapped in pine laths. The Cabin chair is part of a growing range of Vipp furniture designed for the brand's architectural projects. The padded seat cushion is wrapped in soft aniline leather, while the curved backrest is designed to offer optimal back and seating comfort. The lacquered surface protects the chair from everyday wear and tear.

VIPP
The story of Vipp began in 1939, in the small Danish town of Randers, when Marie asked her husband Holger Nielsen to create a trash bin for her new hair salon. Holger, a skilled craftsman with a keen sense of aesthetics, wanted to impress his wife and thus put all his talent into creating a pedal bin that was both functional and elegant. The bin, which he named Vipp, was never intended to be sold. However, some of Marie's clients were so impressed by its functionality that they ordered it for their husbands' medical offices and dental clinics.
