This lamp invites interaction, allowing users to manually adjust the light. Its design principle is both straightforward and quietly enchanting. A rounded base contains an LED mounted on a central axis, while a glass sphere rests above it and moves freely. Shifting this sphere produces an eclipse-like effect that alters the intensity of the light depending on its position. Sliding the Bolita dims or strengthens the glow, creating a visual interplay that is subtle, engaging and full of character. This portable lamp has been conceived to celebrate the gesture itself. Designers from the kaschkasch studio wanted to develop a dimming system based on physical movement rather than electronics. Their aim was to offer a technologically innovative object that also restores the importance of touch within the lighting experience.
