Characterised by its seat, the Betty TK1 stacking chair highlights a universal component often hidden beneath the frame: the seat straps. Designed by design duo Thau & Kallio for And Tradition, Betty TK1 takes its name from a wooden theatre in Copenhagen built in 1857. Made from natural linen fibres, Betty TK1's straps are hand-woven to fit each seat frame as snugly as possible. While providing a particular view of the design, the straps that sculpt the structure of the chair provide an almost transparent aerial presence. Both lightweight and robust, Betty TK1 is also flexible thanks to its soft, comfortable seat that wraps around the body for optimum comfort. Edited by And Tradition, Betty TK1 is a chair with an honest design that can suit all types of spaces.
